Seniors
It's time to start preparing for Graduation! The first step is to order
your Cap & Gown, Graduation Announcements, and other Senior memorabilia.
Jostens will be on campus accepting orders on Thursday, Nov. 20th and
Friday, Nov. 21st from 10:30 -11:45 AM outside the AOC Office. Ordering
information has been distributed in class. Be prepared to bring your completed
order form and down payment on this day. DON'T FORGET EVERY SENIOR MUST
TURN IN THEIR CAP & GOWN SIZES on these dates!
Remember that any senior ordering their Class Ring on order day will receive their Cap & Gown for FREE! See your catalog for details.
Senior
Photos
Seniors need to take their O'Connor senior photos by the first week in
December. If you still need to set up a portrait appointment, you can
call O'Connor at 257-3838.
Juniors
It's time for your class to order their class rings. Your class ring will
rank high in the commemoratives of your "2010" Graduation. Your
Jostens representative will be on campus for your class ring order on
Thursday, Nov. 20th and Friday, Nov. 21st from 10:30 -11:45 AM outside
the school office
Ordering information has been distributed in class. Be sure to look yours
over before ordering day. Visit www.jostens.com to view an online catalog
and design your ring. Bring your order form and $60.00 deposit on Thursday
or Friday.
Students
Interested in Career in the Arts
Students interested in a career in the arts have an opportunity to meet
with a representative of CALARTS on Friday, November 21st at 9:30 AM.
A staff representative from this highly recognized school located in our
community will share information and answer questions for those students
planning to pursue a professional career in art, critical studies, dance,
film/video, music, or theater. Sign up for this session in the AOC office
by Wednesday, November 19th.

Amnesty Club
Amnesty International is a worldwide movement of people who campaign for
internationally recognized human rights for all. Our Amnesty Club will
meet in Room V116 at lunch on Friday at 11AM.

Bible Club
Join us during lunch on Wednesday, November 19 at 11 AM in V115. We'll
be exploring more of the spiritual issues in the book of 1 John. For more
details, see Kaci Frazer.
Human
Rights Book Club
The Human Rights Book Club is please to announce that our November reading
selection is Kate Furnivall's The Red Scarf. This passionate novel follows
a young woman through her twisted and horrible experiences in the Soviet
Gulags of the 1930's. We will be meeting to discuss this novel on Friday,
November 21st, at 11:00 in V-118.

Improv Club
Can you think fast and creatively on your feet? Or have you always wished
you could? Come join Improv Club on Tuesdays at Lunch in Room V118 to
learn improv games and techniques. Beginners are welcome to join in!

Knitting Club
Knitting Club will meet Monday, November 17, in V119 from 11:00-11:35.
Bring your knitting supplies and come learn how to knit a Burundi Bear

Robotics Club
Join AOC Robotics Club and work with us to build a robot and compete with
other school teams across the state! No experience required. Our team

Center Spotlight Awards Program
Visual artists are invited to apply for visual arts awards from $250 -
$5000! Applications are online at www.musiccenter.org . Visual Arts include
photography, two-dimensional design, works of art with height and width
but no depth, using drawing, painting, computer generated or mixed media.
The application deadline, December 1, is quickly approaching.
