Application Process

The application process begins in February/March with AOC faculty and administrators visiting the local junior high and high schools to inform students about the opportunities at AOC. A number of Parent Informational Meetings are scheduled around the same time throughout the Santa Clarita Valley to give more detailed information on our program to parents and prospective students.

Applications are available at these meetings or may be downloaded from our site:

Applications are also available in all Hart District high school counseling offices.

Students meeting admissions criteria will be invited to an interview at AOC. This student and parent interview is a mandatory part of the application process, and is designed to determine the student's ability to be successful at AOC and COC and ensure that the applicant has all of the necessary information about AOC to make an informed decision about transferring schools.

Acceptance letters will be mailed and accepted students will need to complete the COC online orientation.

Class registration will take place in early July. Students and a parent meet with an AOC advisor to review their graduation status and to plan their Fall COC classes.
