The Hart School District Governing Board is holding a special meeting on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 to interview and make a provisional appointment to fill one Board vacancy. The public meeting will be at 3 pm in the District Boardroom. The selected candidate will take the oath of office and begin the provisional term at the regular board meeting on June 19, 2013.

Consulting teacher James Webb has been named the new induction director of the Hart District's Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Program. He will assume the new role in August for the start of the 2013-14 school year. Webb takes over the position following the retirement of long-time teacher Linda Margulies, who will retire this June after 13 years as the induction director of the acclaimed PAR program and 27 years with the Hart School District.

Hart School District elected school board member and past president, Paul Strickland, has tendered his resignation from the school board, with plans to move out of state in May. Strickland also resigned from the City of Santa Clarita Arts Commission, where he has served since December 2009 as a founding member and is the current chairman of the commission.
