In an emergency, families of Hart District students will be notified through our telephone ConnectED system. That message will also be posted to the District’s Web site and can be accessed by clicking on the "EMERGENCY" button that will be displayed in red in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Such a message may contain information about school closures or re-openings, emergency dismissal information, evacuation center locations and other pertinent information.
The Hart District has now added another tool in its emergency message kit. Local residents who want to receive emergency messages on their mobile telephones can subscribe to the emergency text messaging service by texting "WSHEMERGENCY" to 41411. If you prefer, simply enter your mobile telephone number in the “Emergency Text Alerts” box located on the left-hand side of this page.
Subscribers to this service will be contacted only in a serious emergency. As with any text message, standard text messaging rates apply and will be charged by your mobile phone service provider.
If you no longer want to receive Hart District emergency text messages, you can unsubscribe to this service at any time by texting "LEAVE WSHEMERGENCY" to 41411.
