REFLECTIONS 2009-2010
This year's theme: Beauty is…
Entries are due to the office by October 16 2009 2:00 p.m.
The National PTA Reflections Program is an arts recognition and achievement program for students. The Reflections Program provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme, while increasing community awareness on the importance of the arts in education.
Students may submit an entry in any of the six arts areas listed below. Only original works of art are accepted. You may enter more than one work of art. The six arts areas are as follows:
· Literature
· Musical composition
· Photography
· Visual arts
· Dance Choreography
· Film/Video Production
Please remember that:
· All entries submitted must be original works and must relate to the theme Beauty is….
· Each entry must be the work of only one student. Assistance from teachers, parents or friends is not permitted except in special cases (such as for those with visual or physical disabilities)
· Students should do their best, but crooked lines, incorrect musical notes, or misspelled words do not disqualify anyone.

Important - Before you begin your project – Read the General Rules and Rules for your Category. It would be very disappointing to disqualify an entry for something such as incorrect size or length.
Print out the Student Entry Form, complete it, and include it with your submission.
Entries will be judges by independent judges. All of the works of art will be celebrated and the winners announced at a gala in November (Date to be announced) and by display in the school. Art work will be returned.
