SANTA CLARITA, Calif – The William S. Hart Union High School District Governing Board unanimously approved the appointment of Lori Gambero as the new principal at Arroyo Seco Junior High School. Ms. Gambero was selected to fill the opening created by the retirement of current principal Dr. Andy Keyne.
Ms. Gambero has been an assistant principal at Castaic High School in the Hart District since July 2022. Prior to that assignment, she served as principal of Ramon C. Cortines Visual/Performing Arts High School in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) from 2019 to 2022. During her time there, Ms. Gambero led the school to attain the California Exemplary Arts Program award. She also led her staff in the increase of math and English proficiency levels, College and Career Readiness rates, CTE participation and pathways, and English Language redesignation rates. Prior to her time as principal at Cortines High School, Ms. Gambero served in a number of other leadership roles in LAUSD and the Fresno Unified School District, including time as a District Arts Specialist, Assistant Principal, School Director, District Campus Culture Director, Vice Principal, Lead Counselor, and Language Arts Department Chairperson. She began her career in the Central Unified School District as a Language Arts teacher.

Ms. Gambero obtained her undergraduate degree in English from California State University, Fresno, and her Master’s degree in Counseling from National University.

She will officially begin her new role on January 3, 2024.
