Graduation Requirements
In order to earn a diploma from the William S. Hart Union High School District, students must have completed the following in grades 9 through 12.
Total credits required for graduation is 230.
Total credits required for graduation is 230.
For the class of 2023 the required electives has been lowered by 10 credits, giving a graduation requirements a total of 220.
- ENGLISH – 40 credits
- SOCIAL STUDIES – 30 credits
- Modern Civilization – 10 credits
- U.S. History and Geography – 10 credits
- U.S. Government and Economics – 10 credits
- SCIENCE – 20 credits – (one year Physical and one year Biological)
- MATH
- 30 credits – Includes completion of a course in algebra
- HEALTH – 2.5 credits total
- FINE ARTS / FOREIGN LANGUAGE
- Fine Arts – 10 credits OR
- Fine Arts – 5 credits AND Foreign Language – 10 credits
- PRACTICAL ARTS – 5 credits – Choose from Home Economics, Industrial Arts, Business Education or Regional Occupational Program (ROP) courses.
- PHYSICAL EDUCATION – 20 credits – Students are required to complete 20 credits in grades 9 and 10
